Browse Forums Building A New House Re: MOJO HOMES 3Feb 05, 2021 11:07 am CD12JD NEW HOMES Hi All It’s my first time building a house and I’ve just signed and paid a $5000 deposit to Build the Nova 32 with the Coastal Hamptons facade in brick with Mojo Homes. I’m not sure what it will look like as all the photos I have seen are with hebel (rendered). I was hoping that someone had built a double story in brick with Mojo Homes and could post photos for me to help decide on the look of the facade? Also does anyone know if the final contract price differs a lot from the original tender with Mojo Homes as I’m told some builders are not upfront and honest with costs? Thanks Mojo do a fixed priced contract, once the land has been soil tested you will know what the price will be. Your selections at the studio will affect this price and if any rock is struck during site works ( cutting the block ) . Other then that they are pretty good and transparent. Other builders do things differently and get you in with what seems like a bargain tender. Its only later on the you realise all the fees haven’t been factored in. I built with Mcdonald Jones which is basically the same company and the only thing i have to complain about is pre construction can be a bit slow other then that i have nothing but good things to say Thanks for the feedback. Soil tests have just been done so should be getting the fixed price contract soon. I want to add a pool later on down the side of the house which has good access. Do you think Mojo could add the pool into their plans so it can be approved together with the house so I can install myself at a later date? If you plan to do a pool raise this with your sales person so they can add this as a note so when you are at contract signing its all there... depending on how close the pool is to the home will also change what needs to be engineered for the slab. As far as getting it put onto your plans that wont be an issue however you will need a pool company to draw up the pool plan and anything else you wanted . MOJO wont do that part of it as far as im aware . I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Re: MOJO HOMES 5May 10, 2021 7:44 pm NEW HOMES Hi All It’s my first time building a house and I’ve just signed and paid a $5000 deposit to Build the Nova 32 with the Coastal Hamptons facade in brick with Mojo Homes. I've got Enigma in mind. So far they've given me a tender, but cannot fix the price as they can't do the contour survey due to the lockdown. I notice in the tender they didn't include some of the things I asked for such as kichen cupboard upgrade, pull out bins, and shaving cabnets behind the mirror, double towel rails etc, are they part of the 'studio selection' you mentioned above? We are with mojo at the tender stage where we are finalising the floorpan. All the things you have mentioned are done at the MyChoice Studio internal appointments. Ask for a price list for these things Re: MOJO HOMES 9Oct 04, 2021 11:10 am annaHome I want to build enigma too it’s a great design does anyone know if Hebel is better that wood frame and had anyone know much about mojo Hebel has nothing to do with wood frame… Hebel is the material of the outer wall, so you would compare hebel and bricks. Wood frame vs steel frame We looked at hebel but went with bricks, i was concerned having hebel would scare some potential buyers when the time came to sell. It looks beautiful though as you get that full rendered look I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 16016 Hi all, We are considering Enigma 46 from Mojo Homes in Gables, NSW. Has anyone built with Mojo and any pointers and feedback. Also, if anyone has built similar design… 0 13254 Hi, We are looking for a builder that can build a small home (smaller length) on a sloping site. We came across Mojo's Zephyr design 10.6 m wide and 11.5 m length. Does… 0 23039 |
