So sorry, got caught up with a commercial project straight after the xmas break! Who still needs help!??? Yes please. Hi Michelle, We have decided on midland brick silverbirch with grey mortar, monument roof, monument window frames. Fencing is colorbond bushland as per developer agreement. We have a blade wall to be rendered at front of house and 3 pillars at alfresco to the side of the house. We are undecided on colour for these and also the garage roller door. Were thinking monument also but after looking at other houses the door seems way too dark. We are only a few kms from the beach but over look rural land. Advice on roller door and render would be great. I love modern, thinking modern beach interior. Thank you so much for your support! Can you post a photo of your elevation? Thanks. If not just let me know and I'll have another go. I've also added some from many colour combinations I've researched. Was wondering how gully would work on the roller? Traditionally I loved colour and lots of it but as im approaching 50 my colour schemes have definitely mellowed. Charcoal and Teal are dominating my home at the moment without a particular theme, but the new build is a family beach holiday home so I'm probably leaning towards light and breezy beach trying for something different to home but also finding myself being drawn back to them. Haha look forward to your reply. I've had to redo my reply as notification came up saying can only embed 3 quotes. Do sadly o don't think photos will attach but I'll try again. I just hope you find my reply 🤪 Re: Colour questions? 349Jan 14, 2021 5:09 pm hi michelle, ill try again. we have tried colourbond colours against a single brick and think monument, gully, woodland grey and dune are the best matches. we are thinking monument for roof, gutters and fascia. not sure what to do with the pelmet or even what they are made of. Thinking monument for windows, we are thinking a dark roller door as it comes a fair way out the front of the house but think but thinks monument is too dark. advise on pelmet, both doors and rendered blade wall and pillars would be fantastic please. We are renovating and will be cement rendering our home. Gables are going and will be replaced with tiles to match. We are thinking of monument gutter, surfmist fascia and monument flatline panel lift garage door. For the render colour we are thinking something like white dune half or ghosting half and would be keen to get your thoughts. We are also wanting to add a pop of colour with the front door and are thinking something like Dulux Esplanade. Any advice is much appreciated Re: Colour questions? 351Jan 31, 2021 4:04 pm I'll be back in tomorrow night if I can so sorry, back to work and very busy. Front Door - Dune Blade - Dune Pillars - Dune Your landscaping is important to help pull it all together. I hope this helps you. I've been playing with the four colorbond colours and had it down to 3. But thought i may have had too many colors too. Dune wasnt one of the three colours would you believe, but it is a colour that we both love and trust that it would work beautifully! Garden is our thing so will be able to put something special together. Do you think cream or grey based aggregate driveway? Atm we are using grey mortar. Thank you so much for you time and advice! 😘 Holly72 hi michelle, ill try again. we have tried colourbond colours against a single brick and think monument, gully, woodland grey and dune are the best matches. we are thinking monument for roof, gutters and fascia. not sure what to do with the pelmet or even what they are made of. [/quote] Re: Colour questions? 357Feb 06, 2021 2:04 pm Hi, I've got a build just starting now and am trying to finalise the last of my exterior colours and am a bit stumped. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. The things I have locked in and am happy with are: Bricks - PGH Blackheath Roof - Ironstone Gutters - Ironstone Front door - Not 100% settled but will most likely be a Walnut colour stain The rest is where I get a little bit indecisive. I'm planning on having white shutters so I think I want to stay with white window frames as I don't particularly like the look of window colour contrasting with the shutters. The bit I'm struggling with is then picking the fascia and garage door colour. I do really like Dune for these to go with the Ironstone and brick selection, however then I worry about the contrasting white windows clashing somewhat. Alternatively I could probably go with surfmist for the fascia and garage door which should go better with the white windows I'm guessing? I guess I could also then change the windows to surfmist and have everything the same, I could probably tolerate the slight difference between the white shutters and surfmist window frame. I've attached a rendered image of the front of the house for reference (colours obviously not correct). I've really fallen for a dulux colour stoney creek. Do you think this would work in place of dune? Thanks again!! X Yes, Stoney Creek will work Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Colour questions? 359Feb 08, 2021 5:45 am Holly72 Greatly! We recently had our exterior trim painted with Lexicon Half which looks great. There is a door architrave in our garage that is a continuation of this trim so I decided to simply continue this trim internally. I also intend to apply this “white” colour to our internal doors. After painting some internal trim and doors I’m not so sure it works with our existing gold/brass coloured door knobs, hinges, light fittings, etc and the birch white windows. Should I look to go a different white trim or should Lexicon Half be fine? Thanks for that! Yeah, I was thinking timber front door. 10 22474 Not sure what council area you are in.
