To our chagrin, other homes in this development that began construction after ours finished weeks before us Don't know what the problem was, but I can speculate that Ausbuild devoted its resources to their Thrive community, and we were last on the totem pole. The "major" dings were that a powerpoint for the microwave oven was not installed, nor was a locking door handle for the master bedroom. Also, a drain pipe at the kerb was not connected to its outlet to the gutter. At this writing we have nothing for our six-month maintenance list. Our facade wasn't fancy enough and was disapproved. After much going back and forth, we reached a compromise wherein our only required change is a 25-degree roof pitch. Construction should begin this month, weather permitting. That's something new I came to know today that Council can disapprove someone's plan due to Facade not being so fancy. We bought land in Brooks release Capstone.. Just in the search of builder. Again, we chose Ausbuild only because we liked their floorplan best. Had no major issues with any of their subcontractors except one.
