Stewie One clarification - given that once the hole is filled and sanded (small screw holes from where a shelf was attached) the filled hole is flush with the rest of the wall. Won't this technique result in a protruding surface at this point (ie. a local bump)? Also, given it is such as small area, using a trowel would be difficult or is it ok to spread it out over a larger area over the unblemished surface? Thanks. Re: Restoring Correct Finish to a Patched Interior Brick Wal 5Oct 22, 2020 8:44 am You didn't say it was a screw hole! Just use the builders bog and go over it a few times to get the surface flush. paint the whole wall a couple of times and if you've done a good job of the patch you shouldn't be able to notice it. Stewie Sorry! I was asking in a more general sense as I do have larger holes to fill as well so your advice will be put to good use. We'll paint over it a few times with the roller and hopefully it comes out looking good. Cheers Thanks Chippy,I do have one that I levered out.
