Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I have a 3 yr old house and have recently started hearing cracking and popping noises from roof and wall of my house. There are no cracks internally or externally in the house. Should I be worried about this?

It could be thermal expansion but more likely foundation movement . What is your site soil classification? I am not sure about the soil classification. How do I get it? I also noticed today the noise are coming both from roof and aluminium windows and more prominent during mornings and evenings. Does it fit more into the criteria of thermal expansion? Agree, and the frequency is high too. I put lots of efforts to identify the trusses, loose water pipes etc which could be the main culprits, even put cctv cameras around the ceiling but no success.
