Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1104Sep 29, 2020 11:36 am Fair enough. We want the heater so works for us. I have a couple of other down lights in there as well. I dont mind the look of the 3 in one combo, its fine for me for bathrooms. Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1105Oct 10, 2020 4:27 pm ocean I'm still waiting on cost of double glazed doors...... Nervous about the cost! Has anyone done square set wall and ceiling junctions to ground floor and regretted not doing it upstairs or any thoughts? Thinking won't do it upstairs/spend elsewhere but interested in anyone who has completed thoughts? Hi Ocean, After reviewing the blogs, I checked this "double glazed door" is very interested to me. I have same question in my head, Have you find out how much for the double glazed doors. I thought it is the standard offer, what about the windows, does it included double glazed windows ??? Please let me know your quote if you can. Or inbox me if you don't mind. Thank you, Cecilia Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1106Oct 13, 2020 5:40 am ceciyau ocean I'm still waiting on cost of double glazed doors...... Nervous about the cost! Thank you, Cecilia Hi Cecilia Unfortunately I don’t have it itemised - I just paid a set cost to upgrade particular windows and doors to double glazed. Definetly ask, worth considering. All the best with your build! Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1107Oct 14, 2020 11:25 am msresearcher HaminZa Hi All, anyone willing to share what their total tiling upgrade cost sits, just trying to benchmark ours. Ta. About 3k which I was suprised about as i had picked all tiles from gold range. What I hadnt realised is that some tiles are more labour, like small tiles and larger tiles, also tile patterns, grout colour changes, rectified tiles id picked were more labour as well, then there was changing trims from chrome to black for me. (I had already upgraded to smart tile waste drain thing in my tender...). I rechecked my tender and of course there was something about labour charges for some tile choices.... I guess the upgrade would have been more if my living areas were also tiles or if stayed with the right size tile that isnt additional labour - but i going floor boards there.... Hope that helps. HI, were the 3k tiling cost just for the wet areas? We picked rectified tiles all over and 600 x 600 tiles for our ground floor but now I am worried about the labour costs. We are still waiting for the variation but I have a feeling it would be expensive. I had this as an initial quote, 600x600 tiles almost everwhere Let's just say my quote halved when I took this out and revert to standard.. yup labour Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1111Oct 20, 2020 3:31 am jmlight Also, did anyone go ahead with have square set ceiling in their ground floor? Can you please share how much this was? Thanks. Hi yes I did but it's part of create your own inclusion, just check their brochure for the individual cost. Cheers Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1112Oct 21, 2020 8:26 am HaminZa jmlight Also, did anyone go ahead with have square set ceiling in their ground floor? You are correct it is in create your own. Its been months since we signed this before tender so I forgot what was in it. Thanks for the tip about the tiles also. I havent got the variation yet as they are very slow but I do feel like its going to be expensive. Here's hoping it is somewhat reasonable. Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1113Oct 21, 2020 9:41 am Do they inform you at your selections appointment that larger tiles will cost more in terms of labour and similar info to be aware of? I would've thought it is not reasonable to expect a person to recall the contract terms when selecting items as to what materials result in extra labour costs. At the Selections appointment with Beaumont Tiles they will indicate items that incur additional charges such as Tile size and extra labour, tile type, trims, matching grout colours, etc. Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1116Nov 11, 2020 9:11 pm Hello, Im new here and looking to build the Elyse 38 with Hall & Hart. I'm wondering if anyone would be able to share the final price of their build, as we're on a budget of approx 550k. Not sure if this is a realistic budget at all. Any prices or guides much appreciated. Thanks in advance Emma Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1117Nov 11, 2020 9:21 pm Emma12 Hello, Im new here and looking to build the Elyse 38 with Hall & Hart. Build costs are difficult to compare in dollar terms as site costs vary significantly and therefore identical design and finish on two sites may cost completely different $$. Get Sales to run an estimate. All the best. Kind regards Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1118Nov 11, 2020 9:24 pm Emma12 Hello, Im new here and looking to build the Elyse 38 with Hall & Hart. Don’t think that includes landscaping and driveway either. Also site cost can pump up the final price significantly. Re: Building with Hall & Hart Homes 1120Nov 11, 2020 9:40 pm Emma12 Wow thank you for that, shame because I love their designs. Really appreciate it. They have many other designs to consider so don't stop checking what works for your family needs. They are a great builder I have an excellent experience from tender last year to now being a week away from handover. Speak to Sean or Kate and express your concerns they will come up with suggestions to consider. It's a good process. Many people will choose a builder because they loved a certain display home but Hall and Hart process will delight you if you can slightly think out of the box at this stage. Best wishes it's a first step of the journey 😊 I have a really long hallway which is 1100mm W x 11500mm L I would appreciate if anyone can give suggestions to light it up with Linear LED lights that goes from wall to… 0 8810 Ask for references and speak to them.
