Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Floor Plan - Advice for Square Block 14Sep 14, 2020 1:34 pm Huge improvement to the floorplan, the house actually makes sense now. Would definitely extend out the kitchen/laundry and bedroom wall to increase room sizes unless there’s a really good reason not to. Only change I would make is to reduce the width of the toilet as it has an excessively large vanity built to one side, and I doubt you would need storage cupboards in the toilet, just a wall mounted hand basin with small cupboard underneath is sufficient. The space saved could be incorporated into the adjoining bedroom. Re: Floor Plan - Advice for Square Block 15Sep 22, 2020 1:58 pm I agree with most of the changes people have made, and I can definitely see the reasoning behind switching the media and bedroom. My small bit of advice would be think carefully whether you want a bedroom backing on the laundry. If you have kids/ will have kids and that bedroom will be occupied (i.e not a guest bedroom), you will definitely have a noise issue. At prestart I would recommend investing in upgrading your insulation in that shared wall for a noise buffer. No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6426 Hi, Seeking volume or semi-custom builder in victoria(east), which have existing double story wide floor plans.
