Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 7Aug 14, 2020 8:34 am There was no charge to provide the Builder's Range Vinyl plank flooring (selected from Wood Effects Range) to Entry, Hallways, Kitchen, Pantry, Linen, Living and Dining in lieu of Builder's Range tiles or timber; however, we were charged $457 to put it in a room where carpet was the design standard. Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 8Aug 14, 2020 10:46 am Thanks Communer! Are the $27.95 psqm vinyl planks here (https://www.nationaltiles.com.au/shop-flooring/shop-by-type/vinyl?product_list_order=price_asc) from National Tiles part of the Wood Effects Range? Follow my build journey here! :-D Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 9Aug 14, 2020 11:28 am I'm not sure. We chose 3-mm Tropic Ashwood, but I don't remember who manufactures it. The Expressions Studio can better answer your questions about that. BTW, I should articulate better in that we did buy the Refined Flooring Promotion, but we elected to go with vinyl planks in lieu of the tiles or timber. Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 10Nov 13, 2020 1:08 pm Late update: Handover was 2 Sept., meaning a six-month build. To our chagrin, other homes in this development that began construction after ours finished weeks before us Don't know what the problem was, but I can speculate that Ausbuild devoted its resources to their Thrive community, and we were last on the totem pole. The "major" dings were that a powerpoint for the microwave oven was not installed, nor was a locking door handle for the master bedroom. Also, a drain pipe at the kerb was not connected to its outlet to the gutter. At this writing we have nothing for our six-month maintenance list. Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 11Nov 16, 2020 1:43 am Communer Update March 2020: Finally cleared covenants and Council. The former was a bugger. Our facade wasn't fancy enough and was disapproved. After much going back and forth, we reached a compromise wherein our only required change is a 25-degree roof pitch. Construction should begin this month, weather permitting. That's something new I came to know today that Council can disapprove someone's plan due to Facade not being so fancy. We bought land in Brooks release Capstone.. Just in the search of builder. Re: Ausbuild Capestone Mango Hill 12Jun 17, 2021 1:17 pm Update June 2021: We're through except for 12-month maintenance report or any other thing that pops up. Again, we chose Ausbuild only because we liked their floorplan best. Had no major issues with any of their subcontractors except one. Recommend: No. Their front office is difficult to do business with (personal opinion); mainly response time. Howdy all. I am looking for feedback on what people would do to maximise and make an area as flat as possible.
