Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Bifold doors wall to wall 4Aug 05, 2020 4:45 pm build2020 Hi everyone Our plans have slightly changed which means our top floor no longer sits on top of the ground floor back windows. To me, this sounds like we could upgrade our standard stacker door to a wider bifold/stacker door as the supporting beam will not need to upgraded. Does this make sense? Should I expect the cost to increase substantially for the upgrade? Thanks. Hi Do you need to upgrade the glazing to meet the energy report due to the changed insulation if you increase the stacker door? Otherwise I would think a low cost option. I have seen many times how insects, dust, heat, cold, etc. make practical correction to otherwise very good looking architectural ideas.
