Will you be moving in soon? I've just started looking at a few Carlisle designs for a KDR in SE suburbs in melbourne. Particularly interested in the vaucluse and montague. I like your upgrade ideas. Would you be able to PM me the cost of the upgrades you mentioned if you don't mind? Thanks Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey 29Jul 31, 2020 7:38 am Hi mate, good luck on picking a beautiful floor plan. I recommend the below 1. Sq set cornices through out (looks high ceiling and better insulation than a normal cornices) Affinity gets you the high door already High ceiling means more volume and more steps to first floor. 2590 is enough unless if you are a taller person. Of course high ceiling makes a grand look. 2. Upgrade stairs , remove store room under the stairs for plant s 3. Butler's pantry remove entry door. Ask for a picture window for light. Note it won't be double glazed but it should be fine 4. Make the alfresco doors boutique and high . Standard does not look . Don't get wrong from the display home. Take the upgrade list with you when you visit the display 5. Insulate mid floor 6. Increase external wall insulation , if it's a brick wall. Personally I prefer hebel dues to its thermal properties and render look. 7. Double glaze the balcony master bed room door if you have a balcony Was wondering how was your quote to compare. Thanks for your suggestions mate. They sound pretty good. I haven't got around to getting any quotes as yet. still purely browsing through the builders. Unfortunately the pandemic has put a bit of a dampner on progress. Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey 31Jan 16, 2021 10:13 pm makido Blujo Hi Makido Good luck with the build! I'll be following with interest. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the upgrades below cost you? High ceiling 2.74 on ground floor and 2.59 on first floor. Convert Downstairs Lounge into one master bedroom Kitchen Caesarstone Cat 3 with 80mm Dropdown Waterfall on the Island Kitchen Timber Floor Cheers Hi Blujo, Thanks! No worries, will PM you the details. By the way, when you visit the display home, just ask them for the upgrade list. They will normally give it to you without asking you to make any deposit. That will list all of the upgrade price that the display home built. Hi I am also interested in knowing the price for: High ceiling 2.74 on ground floor and 2.59 on first floor. Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey 32May 13, 2021 5:41 pm Hi makido, may I request your quoted price for the Sheraton grand 51 before upgrades?
