Browse Forums Building A New House Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14432Jul 16, 2020 8:53 pm BVD Hi Team Has anyone got any escalations points (email contact or phone) they can send me via private message, My sales agent and i have been waiting to get the drawings for my consolidated tender and so far its been 6 weeks and ive had no input. Ive escalated twice, my sales guy (who has been really great) has been escalating also however i think his escalations are falling on deaf ears so i need to escalate. Ive spoken with 3 different people this week who are currently building with MJH, first couple got their drawings back in 2 weeks second couple got theirs in 4 weeks and the third couple have gone through 5 consolidated tenders (due to drawing errors) I know they are busy however i am building a smaller house (hamilton5 floorplan) and i haven't made any major structural changes apart from swapping the theatre position to where rooms 2/3 were previously situated. this is stressing me out as my pre approval will be expiring soon and im yet to do my internal and electrical appointment which i'll now need to tell my design consultant to set it all in one appointment/day so im not border lining my pre approval expiring period. Hi BVD we also waited 6 weeks for the CT and got it back 2 weeks ago. It had changes they assumed would work for us without asking so we sent it back. Still waiting for it to come back. It is getting beyond the joke, they're so focused on cashing in on those eligible for the $25k grant that they have pushed those that signed up prior to this to the side. I have heard from others that people arent even getting the chance to view the studio before selections due to the influx of new sales from the grant.... My question to them is will they expect me to pay a price rise when my tender has expired and we are yet to get on site !? We paid our initial deposit in April and were always quick to respond to any DV or CT presented, if we are held up any more i doubt we will get to site before the tender expires. Have you tried messaging the facebook page or emailing customerfeedback@mcdonaldjones.com.au ? TBH i wanted to build one of their homes for many years now but im starting to lose that feeling... its getting to the point that im not comfortable making any floor plan changes because of their ultra slow wait times. I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14433Jul 16, 2020 10:28 pm CD12JD BVD Hi Team Has anyone got any escalations points (email contact or phone) they can send me via private message, My sales agent and i have been waiting to get the drawings for my consolidated tender and so far its been 6 weeks and ive had no input. I haven't contacted anyone apart from my sales agent at the moment, so i have faith in him to come back to me and I've given him till Saturday to produce something otherwise i'll contact the head office using other means.. Why are they making plan changes to your house without asking you assuming its better is beyond anyone... You should have asked if they are willing to pay your mortgage as well (im worried now if i get the plans and they come in wrong, i will lose my sh|t) Re: McDonald Jones Homes - The new thread 14434Jul 19, 2020 7:59 pm BVD CD12JD BVD Hi Team Has anyone got any escalations points (email contact or phone) they can send me via private message, My sales agent and i have been waiting to get the drawings for my consolidated tender and so far its been 6 weeks and ive had no input. It looks relatively cheaper than other builders.
