Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair 1 Jul 09, 2020 6:31 pm Hi all, first time poster. Looking for some advice regarding chips appearing in the concrete of my garage. As per the pictures you can seen waffle foam just beneath the surface. Is this to be expected? Can something be done to fix the issues? Is this something covered by builders warranty? Appreciate the help. If it's a bit of the styrofoam that has broken off during the installation of the pods and then when the concrete has been poured it's floated up but been troweled in its no big deal. On the other hand if what you can see is actually part of an entire pod that has lifted or has no cover over it then it's a big problem. Try digging the foam out. If it's just a small bit encased in concrete then it's no big deal and can be patched. If you stick a screwdriver into and it keeps pushing in like you have actually got a whole pod at the surface then you have a big issue and I'd be getting it inspected.
