And now i am trying to figure out ho to upload the images ..... ha-ha Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 6Jul 08, 2020 6:44 pm Ok, while I am trying to figure out how to share the images I will keep typing. Things we liked so far: · Transparency – we had a reasonably accurate estimate from the sales consultant and honest replies on the cost’s dependent on the next stages (electrical, colours, DG, heating etc) · We were given a display home inclusions and price list from the display home, but in Marriott waters, so we knew what is and isn’t included · We were given the list of suppliers, who work with Arden and were able to go directly for the product advice and selections – so at the end we were just sending the images and telling what we wanted - which was great. We have now met our site supervisor - a really great guy, named R. Had first two independent inspections with our private inspector. So far he was impressed with the slab, frankly speaking we liked it too. We were given a little tour around the house once the frame was up and the slab looked really neat and true to frame. We had a small overhanging near the garage, but it was fixed with the metal support (not sure what the technical terminology for it). We have met our team of carpenters, bricklayers and today electricians. So far really good. Our inspector said that the frame looked really good as well, he did make comments, which we passed onto Arden. Seems that they are taking all onboard and things get fixed (not many things need to be fixed - which is good). In terms of the time frame, we are lucky that construction is still considered to be essential services and there were no delays, at least we don't know of any. Boys seems to be working nearly every day if the weather is good, sometimes we come to have a look later after work and someone is still there. We had a chance to observe different teams as well, and they really work together. It doesn't feel quite real how fast things have progressed. We met our electrical team today, boys were great. They called us in the morning to clarify a few things, they made a couple of comments about some things didn't quite make sense in terms of our locations how we selected it on plans and we were able to go with them room by room and we will come back in the next few days once it is closer to the completion. Pictures !!!!!!! .... Ok they are not coming up quite right, but this is to figure out next time )))) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ 1 comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 7Jul 09, 2020 8:58 pm Coming along very nicely! Slab looks great. May the weather building gods be kind to us all in Bayside! Yes, fingers crossed for the good weather)))) I think the best thing about Arden is that you have the ability to come up with your own design and agree some of the display homes are quite unique)))) Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 9Jul 15, 2020 3:37 pm Blacktea2sugars Hi ani.ram7 Following along with keen interest- Arden have some amazing designs and were on our list too! Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 10Aug 16, 2020 7:13 am Arden is one of the builders we are looking at for our knockdown rebuild in SE Melbourne and good to hear about your experience.Did you have to upgrade much when competed to the display homes? Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 11Aug 22, 2020 1:16 pm We did not really try to build something based on Display Homes, be it Arden or other builders. Just used them as a guide for layout, colour/material selection or general quality of the builder. In terms of upgrade cost, site preparation cost, we found them similar to other volume builders we spoke to. Hope I've got your question right, if not will be glad to clarify. We just passed waterproofing/fixing stage. So far really happy with Arden's process under lock-down conditions. Fingers crossed end of October. But obviously could be delayed because of lock-down. Just feel for other people on earlier building stages, I've heard their homes will most likely be delayed. How is your build progressing? Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 16Aug 26, 2020 8:49 am I think our PCI is the week Stage 4 lifts and settlement first week of October but could still change. Happier to be nearer the end than the start though! https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 17Aug 26, 2020 12:19 pm Blacktea2sugars I think our PCI is the week Stage 4 lifts and settlement first week of October but could still change. Happier to be nearer the end than the start though! That's great! Hopefully there will be no difficulties to organise landscaping, paving and other after handover activities. Are you doing paving with the builder or after handover? Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 18Aug 28, 2020 11:32 am Hi everyone, we are building with beachwood in SE Melbourne too, were given a day for PCI and handover, (end of oct and early Nov) just cant wait! Feel like going to all the shops to look and buy some stuff, we ll need to install proper wood flooring ourselves in living room and office, so need to choose, maybe buy at auction. Hope the restrictions lift mid September! Hubby thinks its good thing shops are closed or I d spend a fortune already! haha Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 19Aug 29, 2020 11:59 pm irina_gem Hi everyone, we are building with beachwood in SE Melbourne too, were given a day for PCI and handover, (end of oct and early Nov) just cant wait! Re: Our Arden Votivo Story 2020-2021 - Bayside 20Jul 22, 2021 3:42 pm How was the in-floor heating? Who is the supplier? Thanks Hi, We have a single story MacDonald Jones house, on a waffle pod slab with steel frame. Are we able to build a second story extension? Other info is we are 900mm from… 0 8478 We bought land in Tallawong Schofields NSW size 30m X 12.5m and planning to get double story house build around 350 sqm. We are thinking about having premium inclusions… 0 4087 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23782 |
