This forum has been brought to my attention and I feel obligated to respond. Firstly, our product reviews are 100% genuine. Product Review have strict guidelines you must meet to ensure you have had dealings with the product you are reviewing. Think about it, if TVH was interested in doing false reviews why would we only have 97? Wouldn't we have 500, 1000 the more the better? It is very hurtful to know that there are individuals out there that try and bring a hard working family owned business down because of our success and great reviews. Nash86 if you can please private message me your property details I will happily look into your job? I have not heard of any True Value Homes clients complaining about how we have left their land or how long we have taken to complete their home. My construction team takes handover photos of every home so this can be easily reviewed if needed. Single storey homes are completed within approx 5 to 6 months and double storey homes are approx 9 to 10 months. Please note True Value Homes is not an express builder and does not compromise on quality. Since we have been in business, we can happily say we have never gone over our contacted build days. In closing, anyone reading this please keep in mind that on these forums you do not need to verify whether or not you have had experience or built with TVH. Anyone considering building with TVH I would highly recommend you meet our team and make an education decision based on your own experience. Best Regards Jason Hi Jason, Why are you guys afraid to provide the upfront cost of the house? Other builders such as VIC Turnkey homes and New home shop are at least transparent of their costs Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 85Jul 03, 2020 12:40 pm Hi Jason,
How has True Value Homes actually verified their 97 5 star reviews on ProductReview to confirm they are genuine? Have the anonymous avatars been contacted by your company and their identities and new home addresses / build numbers appropriately verified with them prior to you making representations that they are 100% genuine? Please confirm if you have done so, and explain your own verification process. This information would provide prospective customers researching online with some confidence in your personal representations and interpreting reviews before they take next steps. Please note: ProductReview makes no representations confirming the authenticity any of the anonymous reviews posted there. They just ensure reviews meet posting guidelines. I suggest you check their fine print in product review about this and the ACL before making such claims. Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 86Jul 03, 2020 12:49 pm I believe the best way to review builders is to open up a full least of built up house addresses as well as owner emails to the interested customers, so they could choose some randomly and get in touch with owners and may be look through couple of them. The best independent rating system is ability for owners to provide anonymous independent detailed feedback after 12 months, 3 years and 7 years of owning the house, but then this information needs to be verified and confirmed, so email, phone, address still to be provided to the 3rd party which should be making efforts in validating the information (e.g. ask for photos etc.). Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 87Jul 03, 2020 1:00 pm alexp79 Great Idea! True Value Homes genuinely considers all their customers to be members of their family so providing such a list, with appropriate permissions of course, should be absolutely no problem for them and would be a transparent way to promote their business! They surely have nothing to hide! What do you think Jason? Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 88Jul 04, 2020 7:38 am Hi Yuzeee2, I am unsure why you believe we are hiding our prices as they are on our website. Please note we currently offer full fixed site costs. This includes slab upgrade (Ie: Piers if needed) and all rock and rock hammering encountered during construction. Please visit our website for further information or contact our office to speak with one of our sales consultants. Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 89Jul 04, 2020 8:31 am yuzeee2 I suggest you ask True Value Homes for the contact details of some of their past customers you can speak with. If they cannot or won't provide these details then thank them politely and find a more transparent builder that will. Their anonymous 5 star reviews are highly questionable. Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 90Jul 04, 2020 12:40 pm Hi Norfolk, Firstly, you are basing your opinion on no factual evidence or with having any dealings with TVH as you stated previously. Our product reviews are 100% genuine as previously stated and anyone can privately message our clients through Product Review. If our clients wish to respond, that will be their choice. However, asking us to disclose our clients' personal information is highly unethical and a breach of their trust. In closing, anyone considering building with TVH should contact our team and get the understanding of why we have such happy clients and great reviews, instead of basing it on the opinions of avatars on forums that quiet easily could be another builder or an independent inspector trying to promote their own business by putting fear into peoples heads. Kind Regards Jason Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 91Jul 04, 2020 12:59 pm Hi Jason, it's completely appropriate to disclose clients' contact details if they give you permission. I suggest you take look at the privacy act if you are unsure about this. Providing references is normal business behaviour. Other transparent builders are happy to do this. What have you got to hide? True value homes promotes itself as a family business, considering it's clients members of the family. Surely these highly satisfied 'family members' would be delighted to provide your prospective customers with a reference via mobile phone or in person? Unfortunately contacting them via product review private message is risky because they are completely anonymous and may not be actual customers!. You are correct with this. Anyone can register on product review with a new gmail account and provide some sort of document for 'verification'. Check the fine pint. Jason, have you checked, and can verify the identities of your 97 5 star anonymous reviews? Please advise. True Value Homes' 5 star reviews are all generic in nature and do nothing to suggest normal balance or authenticity. It's a real warning sign, I feel, however prospective customers should give them a fair chance to demononstrate their capability, authenticity and business ethics. I suggest anyone considering True Value Homes, or any other builder should insist on speaking directly with a number of their genuine and identifable customers before paying them any money. Ask for a list of 5 of their 97 five star 'family members' to speak with. With appropriate prior permissions of course. If they cannot or won't provide this then question why not? What have they got to hide? Surely genuine word of mouth is the best advertising and promotion any builder can get? Jason, what do you think? Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 92Jul 07, 2020 8:58 am Nash86 Only recently finished my build with Tvh. the build quality is good with few defects which i hope will be fixed soon. what was ddisappointing is the time taken to build a small house. took them approx 10 months. houses in my tarneit area were built in less than 6 months. after construction the site was left in a mess and took almost 2 truck loads to level the land. seeing the discussions about product review i do agree that lot of reviews have not stated any facts like build time etc. other builders reviews have more specific information about the job. Hi Nash86 did True Value Homes TVH reimburse you for the cost of cleaning up their site mess, and apologise for the inconvenience? Did they reduce your final invoice amount to appropriately compensate (liquidated damages) you for your costs of the 4 month delay to completion or did they pay you this compensation later? I agree with you about their reviews. These are all misleading. If your read all 97 of them they are poorly written, all generic and 'fluffy' in nature. Not at all credible unfortunately. One of their management team, and a director suggest they have confirmed the reviewers' identities, and that all of these reviewers have built homes with True Value Homes, however. Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 93Jul 27, 2020 7:41 pm I just had my color selection with true value homes today. How much did everyone paid to add an extra power point? Me and my wife heard that a basic power point cost $20 from the lady but she denied saying it. It became $90 for the most basic additional power point. Can anyone share their experience? Re: Anybody built with True Value Homes in Melbourne 96Sep 19, 2020 8:59 am Update: Just had our valuation and the value of the house per True Value homes contract went up. The land did not appreciate but the house did, for which, we are thankful. It keeps getting better. I hope they continue to live up to what they promised during the build. It is fair to say that so far, I am still a satisfied customer. In the current environment, as long as there is no drop in value, it's good enough in my opinion. Which suburb are you building in? I think that True Value homes offerred more. I have compared them to 3 more builders by asking for a quote and no one could beat their offer, even a chinese builder. So, I reckon I really got a good deal with them. wondering anyone built with omaxe homes and care to share their experiences. thanks 0 13821 As a tradesmen get a private inspector although I don't think there worth it in their profession themselves the reminder they serve to the tradesmen doing the work is… 3 27345 They make the room much easier to clean for one, reflect more light (if light colour tiles are used), and you dont end up with dust on the top edge of tiles (cause most… 3 9578 |
