Great progress! https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Re: Metricon Merricks 42 Clarion - Melbourne 63Jun 03, 2020 12:13 pm Site walkaround with the SS today, to go over the schedule of defects on the Darbecca Pre-Plaster report. It was a good collaborative discussion. Darbecca helpfully re-listed items from the previous report remaining to be addressed, and we noted today that many were fixed. In a couple of cases, there are items that have been noted by Darbecca but passed by Group4 (M's inspector), but they are generally minor. A few of the new items will require re-consultation with engineering, plumbers. After all the rain on Monday the house was nice and dry inside. With the insulation and weather proofing it feels much more like a house. Plaster has been delivered, there were electricians everywhere nailing power poin frames to studs. Scaffolding will go up tomorrow outside for the upper floor Hebel installation, and plastering will be starting very soon. Lucky to be enjoying some good build weather. Looking fab. https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Re: Metricon Merricks 42 Clarion - Melbourne 66Jun 15, 2020 5:54 am Looks to the untrained eye like a slow week last week. Cornices have been finished, and the plasterers have cleaned up. It looks really neat inside. I think maybe there's a wait on some more Hebel to finish the first floor. Stairs going in this week! They look great. Once all painted and stained, gonna look amazing! https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Re: Metricon Merricks 42 Clarion - Melbourne 70Jun 28, 2020 11:48 pm Re: Metricon Merricks 42 Clarion - Melbourne 71Jun 29, 2020 6:45 pm Popped by to look at landscaping options, and was happy to see cabinetry everywhere and the kitchen and butler's pantry in an advanced state of installation. Water proofing is all done and we've received the lock up invoice so I sense a fixings inspection to be rapidly scheduled for the end of this week. Tonight, after work, I stopped by and the house was truly locked up... no more stickybeak after hours for me! The water tank was delivered this week, looks like it will juuust fit on the slab when the fittings are adjusted. One was related to overlooking: we were approved to install a trellis fence extension, rather than obscure glazing of the upstairs windows. So with a quick trip to Bunnings, $300 worth of trellis and a box of screws... no more overlooking issues. I've been pestering SS for a date for handover ….he's just texted late November!!!! As we "appear to be 80-90%" done, this was quite a shock. I'd love your feedback. Cheers. https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Re: Metricon Merricks 42 Clarion - Melbourne 79Aug 04, 2020 8:30 pm Hiya again r_13 Just curious, have you been given a rough completion date yet? your slab pour was the Friday24th April, ours was Monday 27th. Hey blacktea2sugars, while it may look 80-90% done it is amazing how many finishing touches need to be done towards the end. It does slow down a little and occupancy permits add to the timeline. Our 42 sq house took 8 months. Site scrape 22 March....Handover 22 November. We moved at a cracking pace for most of it. Now, with Stage 4 restrictions in Melb, you can only have a max of 5 people onsite at any time. This may slow you down a little too 😌. Be patient, you will get there!
