Browse Forums Bathrooms and Laundry Re: Black floor tiles... 2Mar 19, 2009 12:54 pm we've got these in our current rental in the kitchen and bathrooms. Surprisingly, they don't show up much dirt or dust at all!! They do have sparkly flecks through them which probably helps...
Not sure how they'd go in a big area though... Re: Black floor tiles... 3Mar 19, 2009 5:45 pm We are putting a mostly black floor tile in our ensuite. The biggest warning we had from the tile people was not to use a jet black grout. it seems there can be a problem with something leeching out of the grout ( salts?) and making it go white and discoloured. We went for a charcoal colour grout instead which supposedly doesn't have this same problem. Re: Black floor tiles... 4Mar 20, 2009 7:50 am Cookies has them too.

I have seen it many times on black grout but we just colour seal them black and the problem is solved. It's listed as-->BASE WALL TILE - 199x199mm Lanka VGO-1011 Carara Grey and is about 3/4 of the way down the page. On the crosby site I notice they show it with a plain black tile. But they may have access to a similar tile to the one we've put with it. I've pmed you the tile supplier. Perhaps they might be able to give you more details for the other tile. On tuesday when we meet with the tiler I'll see if i can get more details off the box. The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18408 Thankyou for your advice.
