How long was it from signing your final docs to receiving a start date? We both signed our contracts around the same time within a weeks time.. it’s a long long time back.. Christmas didn’t help our cause either I guess all big builders are in the same boat.. some of my friends who are building with other builders are facing the same struggle.. A lot of banks now have the option to defer your mortgage payments for either 3 or 6 months so if it comes to it, definitely check it out. Talk to your PM about your rent as well, if need be. I really hope nothing drastic happens, too many unknowns right now! All well and good as we no longer liked our original choice against the new one as it put off a 'yellow' tone and we wanted white so super happy in that regard. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1768 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment. Definitely not signing anything yet… 3 13234 |
