Browse Forums Building A New House Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 5Feb 13, 2020 10:39 am Joker Ask local real estate agent, but it could definitely devalue your home as someone looking to buy in your area would be looking for a 4 bed home, that's why so many are built. yes, exactly my concern! Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 6Feb 13, 2020 10:40 am DamNita Unless this is your forever home, you should consider what would be more attractive to a home purchaser, as you have mentioned. I have 2 bathrooms and a powder room. I loathe having many bathrooms as it pains me to clean them all. My vote is 4 bedrooms. To be honest, I don't know if it's a forever home but I am pretty sure I am not moving away for at least 10-15 years. Bathrooms are always a pain, aren't they! Thanks for your opinion though. Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 8Feb 13, 2020 11:03 am I will go for more rooms, provided that you are not compromising the size of each bedroom. it's nice to have a larger size bedrooms Most buyers do look for more bedrooms if you are selling in future. I have 5 bedrooms and I do use them all. I vote for 4 bedrooms. Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 9Feb 13, 2020 7:02 pm Hi, we are building 32sq double storey on 375sqm. Like u, we were worried of area/ future valuation , lots of intergeneration families here, and not too sure will be forever home. We ended up with 4 bed (2 masters) with clever design, a future allowance for a 5th bedroom, will be used as a parents retreat atm. Something you could consider future 4th bed with minor changes. happy plan hunting. Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 10Feb 14, 2020 8:56 am HaminZa Hi, we are building 32sq double storey on 375sqm. Re: 3 or 4 bedrooms in new house? 11Feb 19, 2020 12:04 pm I'd go for 4. You can use the "extra" as a study/gym/spare/store room, but at least it's there, and you have it. Nothing like wishing you had more space! Potential buyers would want that 4th I'm tipping. Go 4! https://thomasarcherbuild.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html - Thomas Archer Homes - Custom Nouveau 41 Hi, Have fun, remember bedrooms should feel relaxing and inviting, the last space you see before sleep and the first you see when you wake up.
