Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes-Lisbon25, Spring Mountain 4Jan 25, 2020 11:30 pm Tribe Love your plans Pickle, did you modify the windows in the media and family? What sort of doors are you having to the media? Just thinking if I had my kids in there, some lovely French doors would let me see what their up to while in the kitchen and cut out some of the noise. May I ask what they quoted for full height tiling in the ensuite and bathroom? We are looking at this, along with shower niches but we are very early on in our journey and have not deposited yet, but I think we're pretty set on Grange 26. Looking forward to following on with your build Hi Tribe, yes we swapped windows in media and living and ended up having only one. we have double hinged doors in media instead of sliding as i thought it looks better but french doors would be a nice touch.for the noise i am plannig to add some sound battens to cut out the noise from the media room to outside or vice versa. for bathroom tiling if you select elegnace inlcusion it costs you only $690 for 2110mm high tiles in bathroom but is quite expensive in designer. shower nihces are $450 each but if you haggle they might add that as a promo but that too depends on your coral homes Rep. Re: Coral Homes-Lisbon25, Spring Mountain 5Jan 26, 2020 10:09 am Were thinking of swapping out the windows to ours too in the Living and Media so that we had one instead of having two narrow width but tall windows in each room. Was that what was on your plan originally? Did it end up costing much more to do that? Sound battens definitely sound like the way to go - I'm with you on that one. Thank you so much for sharing the tiling information , definitely gives food for thought. Did you pop out your wall on the Master at the back of the house? Coral seem to be really flexible with this, we are doing this in our Garage to give hubby a little extra workbench space. With the Driveway, we found out that if we go for an outside Concreter they can do it for $110 Sqm for Coloured Concrete so will definitely be doing that. Not sure if that helps with expectation of outside quote costs, it may be different in your state but that's us in the Newcastle area. We are building the San Marino 23 in the Lake Macquarie area and have been considering arranging for the driveway ourselves so your information on the driveway costs has been really helpful. Did you get the plans before you met to sign the contract? We're having trouble getting a hold of ours, they say we won't be able to see them until the day before we sign... which is Feb 18 Absolutley not, we had our plans sent back to us before we signed the contract. you can absolutely demand your final contract including plans in advance before you sign them.our sales rep knows that i have been to other builders and have quotes from them ready if they try to screw up but luckily our rep is easier to deal with even though he forgets things every now and then.
