Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Wet grout 2Dec 23, 2019 6:23 am Gilld Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I built a house in 2015 & have noticed the grout in my walk in shower is staying wet between the tiles on the walls. Would this still be covered by the builder or would I have to sort it my self - thanks for your help. Is this a joke? Re: Wet grout 6Dec 23, 2019 7:45 pm I'm just not sure it is a problem. If the grout is just damp, so what? What are you concerned about? The waterproof membrane, which is the important bit, it behind the tile adhesive and grout, so the grout being damp doesn’t really seem to indicate anything. If, however, you said that moisture was evident in an adjacent room, then I would say you should contact the builder. All that said, your original question was about warranty coverage, and in most places that is seven years - but of course you need to determine if this is a problem that requires warranty action, and based on your scant description, I just don’t think that it is. Re: Wet grout 8Dec 23, 2019 8:12 pm Gilld I’m just concerned as this has happened in summer where there is some ventilation, in winter it could be even worse. What could be worse? What exactly is your concern? I'm just not sure you are going to get the response from the builder that you are after. All sorted guys. Just needed to buy a blade with the correct bush. Dunno how to delete this post, can't find any help file. Cheers. 1 3658 Thanks splashers, that makes sense.
