Browse Forums DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Re: Paint splash on rendering 3Dec 21, 2019 5:07 am Mandi Hello! Just wanting some advice on paint removal. Our house is new, and when we had a concrete path installed around the exterior recently, it was a windy day and the concreter accidentally sprayed dark grey paint onto the cream rendering at the front of the house. He hasn’t responded to messages asking him to please fix, so we’ll need to. Should we use paint thinner, or will that remove the rendering paint too? Or will we just need to repaint that whole rendered section? Thanks very much for your help! Both the paints are water-based (Acrylic) so no matter what you do you will damage one or the other. Unless it comes off with water and rubbing. Best to just get some touch-up paint for the render. I assume it is painted and not pre-coloured render. Our Bondi Greenwall was impressive from day one with advanced lush plants to provide a wow factor to this recently renovated living area. The boundary was less than 1… 0 19347 yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 5527 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 6364 |
