I would have to check again. Really disappointed. I should not have to check their work. Shouldn't it be sufficient that when I told them to upgrade all the sliding doors that, that would be sufficient?
Such a shame and so disappointing for you. Unfortunately you have to check EVERYTHING with M. I found so many mistakes in plans and in contracts. Felt exactly the same way – I shouldn’t have to do their job for them… But I couldn’t take that chance, so I checked everything.
It's so hard to keep track, because they keep changing things after they send a corrected update of the contract.
For example, I'll give them a numbered list of 20 items to fix, they'll fix 5 and not fix the rest. So I would need to go through the whole thing again. And when I do I'll find 3 other changes I never requested so it'll be back up to 18 items to fix. And it's a constant back and forth to whittle it down to "zero" mistakes. I won't be surprised it was during one of these changes that I overlooked some items.
It was pretty much a year of back and forth when it came to the paperwork. And doing it all on my own was very daunting.
