Moisture bring salts to the surface. No “coating” will stop it properly, can really only clean off and wait, repeat or replace. If its coming through paint/stain then would come through render over time IMO re-bricking is the only solution. It will involve quite a lot of ancillary work like removal of eaves, downpipes, power outlets etc and repainting reassemble. This is not uncommon and will be very prevalent when the flammable cladding projects in Victoria commence. Going to have to catalogue a lot of things. Condition reports, 300+ photos of driveways, landscaping,, windows/doors, internal plaster. One thing to consider would be having the brick ties installed with screws instead of nails as the continue hammering of nails to frame could cause cracking to internal plaster. The builder may have to engage security to patrol/guard house from 5pm - 7am for the period when the bricks have been removed and the relaying begins. Instal CCTV., temporary toilet etc Have to have an agreement on lintels (reuse or new), everything which is removed that can go back on.
