Not a sound is heard downstairs from upstairs. It is very solid like stepping on the slab. I highly recommend it as
an alternative to chipboard flooring with its squeaking!
Did you use acoustic plaster for your ceilings as well?

Too late for me but I can tell others of your positive experience. We just have to identify all creaks before handover and put in some premium underlay for upstairs carpet. That's all we can do for now. Did you use acoustic plaster for your ceilings as well? Macher I did not use acoustic plaster for the ceilings. when requesting the extras on the build I was very 2 dimensional and did not think of the ceilings. I am sure that covering the ceilings with soundstop would have doubled the cost of the wall soundstop plaster and that would have been just for the ground floor ceiling let alone first floor. One thing I have learnt from experience is outside noise comes mostly from the windows and it is there that you need to spend the money. Double glazing does help a bit, but in a perfect world multiple(3 or 4) thick panes would be better.
