We have spent over $8k on additional accounstic insulation and plan to spend over $1.5k on upgrading carpets and underlay post handover. At the moment, without carpets we can still hear walking (not creaking) from upstairs so maybe $21k would have given us peace of mind. Thanks mate. Yes, I have chosen the Hebel subfloor, tiles to ceiling for all bathrooms, brick external walls, and 2.7m ceiling height for both floors, etc..., which bring the total price to 700k+ for Vantage 48. Re: KDR Vantage Mode facade modified 76Oct 21, 2019 4:17 pm Renman EricHong Looks good, at least some progress. We are also going to build a Vantage with Metricon, currently in contract stage. Do you have Hebel powerfloor (as the subfloor)? Metricon says that they are using steel joints (the frame is still timber); is that the case with your build? Cheers. Recommend U get the power floors. We couldn't get it with some major changes to the design. Regret not doing it now. Thanks, Renman. We do get the Hebel power floors as I couldn't image the floor upon some particle boards. One thing I also regret not doing is asking metricon to build a extra garage size unit at the rear. You can probably get one for $15k the size of 4 x 5m with a roller door and window pedestrian door and lights. This is bargan. It would be the ultimate man cave or retreat. Brick walls and tiles roof included in price. Re: KDR Vantage Mode facade modified 78Oct 22, 2019 9:41 am Macher EricHong Macher Status said it was the best decision he made. $21k sounds like alot. Hi Macher, our brick shed is 6m x 4m with slab, power, lighting, swing door, window and roller door. $15,500 (excluding later upgrades for bricks and colorbond). Re: KDR Vantage Mode facade modified 79Oct 31, 2019 5:59 am Stairs partially installed and kitchen cabinets delivered. House is officially in lock up and probably expect hand over in march 2020. Still many issues with hebel installation as the guys have not been installing as per instruction on hebel Web site. SS is passing our concerns on to installers.
