Were any of you asked at any stage where you wanted your garden taps to be located before your job was released to site? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15095Oct 16, 2019 4:12 pm Sorry me again. Has anyone had an independent inspector come back with a mile long list of framework defects? How was it handled? How was it rectified? When was it rectified (in comparison to receiving the framework invoice)? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15096Oct 16, 2019 4:23 pm The defects should be rectified before the stage invoice is paid, and they are covered up with plaster and brickwork etc. Work must be done to buiding code standards or it is defective and incomplete. Check your contract carefully for the appropriate procedure to dispute the invoice is payable. get them to fix the frame defects before they cover them up. You will need to inspect carefully again after they claim they have fixed things. Don't believe what they say... Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15097Oct 16, 2019 4:40 pm Teezed Sorry me again. Has anyone had an independent inspector come back with a mile long list of framework defects? How was it handled? How was it rectified? When was it rectified (in comparison to receiving the framework invoice)? Hi Teezed, Try contacting the builder explaining why you are not paying the stage claim until it is rectified. Getting a written response back from them is the best cover you can have. This way you will have something in writing if the worst does happen And if the inspector should offer a return to the site to make sure his list is complete. hopefully, they are cosmetic defects not structural. Please let us know if we could help in any way!
