We received an email from our SS (quite rare to get an update, we find out purely by going to have a squiz ourselves) that brickwork will be completed and next week they'll start on cladding, followed by render then painting. Was keen to check out the completed brickwork, so I went to take a look on the weekend. First thing I'd noticed it wasn't quite finished (just a small amount left to do in the alfresco area, and the pier column in alfresco) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Then I noticed the brickwork coarse was way out on the brickwork above the laundry door (yikes!) (apparently he was on holidays and gets back today, so perhaps he had one of his coworkers do this?) Hopefully our SS delivers upon his word, unfortunately it's happened but alas the true definition of a company's service is how they respond to issues once they've been identified, and at this stage Rawson and our SS have been really good! (nevertheless still frustrating the bricklayer wouldn't have stopped work put his hand up that there was an issue!) Re: Rawson Balmoral 38 MK1 - Newcastle NSW 40Oct 01, 2019 1:26 pm That section isn't stepped down or anything is it? I guess they put more mortar per course in there? I see they will fix it, so thats good. Do you know what happens to the termite barrier when they lay the bricks? Is it meant to poke out between the slab and first course of bricks? But that means the bricks are stuck to the plastic sheet? Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 2824 In NSW the maximum deposit for building work is 5% until the builder provides HBCF insurance 1 4887 Hi All, see above image.
