We have creaky squeaky floors as well on the upper floor. Any reason for that? The other issue is the more intrusive one. As you step on the subfloor the noise is transferred to along the joist and causes a knocking noise along the walls. Metricon is going to lift the carpet and cut parts of the subfloor to get access to the joist and make adjustments to reduce/remove the noise. That'll be the anti frosting valve which will allow a trickle of water out when the temperature drops below 10 to prevent the solar collector from freezing and cracking. It's a crap design, and wastes water. When we put our garden beds in, I'm going to run the frosting valve into a wicking bed so it's not wasted water Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Building with Metricon 8499Sep 30, 2019 6:30 pm Drew01 blackcat20 Drew01 [quote="blackcat20"]We have constant trickling water noises in our bedroom and lots of creaky squeaky floors.
