Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Carlisle Sheraton Deluxe Journey 2Sep 05, 2019 3:13 pm Our Colour Selection Appointment will be next week but we are still considering couple things.
1) Induction Cooktop or Gas Cooktop. (I prefer induction cooktop as we might go for solar power if we have budget left but my wife prefer gas cooktop and I'm not the main cooker in the house ![]() 2) Evaporative Cooling System Options: a) Option 1: 6 Points Upstairs b) Option 2: 5 Points Upstairs and 2 Points Downstairs (But need to have some void in first floor for the evaporative downstairs ducts) 3) Two dishwashers or one dishwasher 4) One oven plus one built in microwave or One oven plus one combination oven microwave. Does anyone have experience with the evaporative ducts downstairs? Is it better to have 2 ducts downstairs with 5 ducts upstairs or all 6 ducts upstairs? Thanks! Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey - Evaporative Cooling Downstai 3Sep 05, 2019 4:34 pm Hi Makido Good luck with the build! I'll be following with interest. No worries, will PM you the details. By the way, when you visit the display home, just ask them for the upgrade list. They will normally give it to you without asking you to make any deposit. That will list all of the upgrade price that the display home built. Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey - Evaporative Cooling Downstai 7Sep 13, 2019 2:47 pm Had our colour selection yesterday. Even though we visited the Spectra more than 10 times, prepared all the list of appliances and everything else, we still felt very rush on the colour selection in the morning and electrical plan in the afternoon. Our consultants were nice on helping us to choose the colour and electrical plan. Does anyone know if Carlisle do radiant floor heating in bathroom? Any feedback if radiant floor heating is good or bad? Thanks! Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey 14Apr 21, 2020 9:07 pm ![]() Good upgrade choices there. I am considering Carlisle too with their Montague 47. Do you mind me asking your contract price? Just pm you. Montague is good design too. Re: Carlisle Sheraton Journey 15Apr 21, 2020 9:57 pm ![]() Anyone has the evaporative cooling downstairs in two storey house? Is it worth to have couple ducts downstairs for that? Thanks! Personally I wouldn’t choose evaporate cooling, especially it’s less ideal for double storey house. If you only turn it on during shower, it might not get warm by the time you finish shower. It’s probably more efficient if it can stay on through entire winter, but Melbourne weather is always up and downs.
