Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Fall on Land and Site Cost 4Aug 19, 2019 9:58 pm The block is slightly falling from the front but slopes all the way to the back right of the block. The slope is about 1.1m from back left to back right. I'm unsure of the length and width of the block so I won't be able to tell you the variety of the slope or how bad it really is. Depending on how the engineer design's the footings / slab or how the builder decides to tackle this, you could be looking around the $15k+ mark. Thanks mate. lot dimension are 14 x 21 (corner lot) Re: Fall on Land and Site Cost 6Aug 19, 2019 10:05 pm kmza Doozer1905 About 1.1m from left back to right back Thanks. How it will impact my site cost. As front to rear fall is 560mm. Left back to right back matters? I mean it's cornet lot need to leave space on the corner and also at back. Does 1.1m fall on the back has any significant effect on site cost. You may be required to do a large cut on the site to flatten the block out, which involves removal of soil, trucks, excavation etc. All the expensive stuff, also depending on the depth of the cut you may require retaining walls. That may be all your site costs (excluding rock, if you have any), If the engineer / builder decides to go the other way and fill area with soil you may require concrete piers. which are about $400.00 each. There are lots of ways this could go, it is all up to the engineer in the end to design the best method suited to your site / soil conditions. It's mean my site cost will be between 15k to 20K. If I need to fix my site cost, what would the good price mark for me. Can I ask builder to fix it at 15K. Re: Fall on Land and Site Cost 8Aug 20, 2019 5:37 pm I think it would be hard to find a builder to fix the site costs before the engineering is complete. Try and have a chat to a handful of builders and see what they all come back with. If you can get them fixed that would be great, but please remember when they fix the site costs before the engineering is complete they are estimating for the worst case scenario to cover their back side. Thank you Splashers. Tomorrow I might check if I can get a few packs of 300x300 in the same tile finish. It may be good to use these could in the shower recesses.
