My brother built with HGWA and they tried to say a water leak in the wall wasnt there problem. So I guess will just have to wait and see. Re: Our Place - Meadow Springs, HGWA 15Jul 24, 2019 12:25 pm Are they still doing the 'Luxury Kitchen'? It does have a bit of wow factor to it, especially when you compared it to what most other builders in WA offer as their standard kitchen fit out. It all looked to be reasonable quality, however the killer for us was the island bench with the split levels and also the lack of colour choices and the ability to modify things due to the fact that the kitchen's are purchased in bulk from China in set combinations. Took us a bit longer than we were hoping but the delay was with titles and new estate rather than builder. In fact, so far *touch wood*, we have had nothing but a positive experience with our builder - Homegroup WA. Building in Meadow Springs, WA . So far our timeline... We are building a 4x2 and have had it pretty much custom designed for us, with loads of storage space and my coveted WIR or as I am calling it, my "dressing room". It's on a 534sqm odd shaped corner block, house area is 195.68sqm and total coverage is 269.34sqm. Eventually we are thinking to put in a shed and pool.....when bank balance recovers! Prestart was mind boggling and exhausting....we are so glad that we had time to really think about what we wanted and luckily we had factored in alot more for our site works estimate and it actually didnt end up costing as much so we had about $8k up our sleeve for upgrades etc. Ended up only being out of pocket about $600 but that's cause we ate alot up by putting our meterbox next to electrical green thingy rather than on the house, which meant we had to add in another sub-board for fuse box etc but worth it for us. We upgraded with more lights, power points, upgraded underlay and carpet, black tap ware etc in ensuite and there was something else but for the life of me I cannot remember! I read so many threads and posts on here so that when we came to make decisions we felt really comfortable, and we learnt soooooo much from everyone on here. Have added some pics and will update bit by bit. To say I am excited is an understatement!!!! Thanks for reading. My brother built with HGWA and they tried to say a water leak in the wall wasnt there problem. And I have had the opposite experience. I personally sought out and contacted on my own people that built with HGWA and asked for their experiences, and majority had been positive. Like anything, you can get good and bad experiences. We have been completely immersed in every decision and discussion with everyone throughout the process and have had exceptional service. We decided to add matt black on for ensuite only and I cant remember the exact cost - will go through and find the paperwork, but we did a cost comparison if we decided to buy them ourselves and get them installed and it worked out cheaper to go with HGWA. We also got the integrated tiles for the wet area floors instead of the normal silver drains and that only cost about $450 extra but I think will look amazing. The light switches we paid extra for the silver ones, we were always told we would pay extra for those things. Im just hoping we have some money left from site works to help with our unexpected extra costs.
