I have a meeting booked with our tiler Thursday so might try and remember to ask him. This guy is reportedly the “best tiler in Ballarat” according to both our builder and the tile shop....anyhow we’ll see I guess. Are you considering cancelling the whole deal with some of these issues you’ve been experiencing? Hi darb Thanks for the feedback, I would certainly appreciate some input from a tiler. As for cancelling the whole process, I certainly am thinking about tonight because I am pretty peeved. If I was asking for outrageous things I would get it but I am only after things we have seen in heaps of places. Will sleep on it and see how we go. Cheers Re: Our McDonald Jones Bronte Build 25Jul 24, 2019 7:16 pm Hi Stephen and Jo, We are building with another company but have done just as you requested - floor and one or two walls in one colour tile, then another wall different colour tile. Didn't seem to be an issue at all. The only possible problem I could imagine would be if the two colours are different thicknesses or porcelain vs ceramic tiles? Our next project will be on acreage (i'm jealous of your acreage in Marayla!). It's a same that MDJ is being painfull in relation to your windows/doors and cabling etc. Did this get rectified? I'm a Glazier/Shopfitter and all my work is custom aluminium windows/doors. Let me tell you I have done much larger that 2400x2100, actually I've done stacking doors with each leaf around this size. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17507 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
