Re: Rain water wet system intake question 4Jul 07, 2019 8:47 pm Rainwater diverted to a storage tank has to pass through mosquito proof mesh, I hope that there is a suitable fitting on the downpipe. Maybe whoever plumbed it thought that the sealed pipe will have an air lock at the top of the vertical riser that would prevent water from flowing. If that was the case, fitting a meshed vent would have been much better than fitting a tee with the cap removed. Fitting an elbow and not the tee would have also provided a bit more head. Just cap it, caps with an O ring are available in the Bunnings plumbing section. I hope that there is there a flush valve/outlet on the wet system. 3in1 Supadiverta. Thanks for help, much appreciated Can a plumber put a tap on a rain water tank which is full? Tank is similar to one in photo. Cheers. 0 1668 the sun master is the solar heating to "warm" the water in the tank the S26 is your hot water system which will heat the water (25 degrees?) so with both turned on you… 2 14048 I’d go heat pump, efficient and you can have a large storage tank so you don’t run out. If the house is big it can take a while for the water to run hot. I was lucky… 1 298 |
