Which is a perfectly good size for a kitchen, but not really enough for a kitchen AND walk-in pantry, and by trying to fit both of those in, you'll end up compromising on both. And then you'll have a usable island too. Remember, if you're putting anything on an island like a sink or cooktop, the island should be at least 1.2m deep, otherwise the people sitting on the stools have no space to eat, and constantly get splashed with water from the sink! I love the open space but for a family with young kids I really need a walk in pantry.
