Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 10, 2019 8:46 pm Our KDR is nearly complete (apart from the garage, which will be a separate project). It's in inner-west Melbourne. The builder is Archiblox, and frankly we've had a fairly mixed experience. While the quality and design seemed pretty good initially, the time they've taken has been way longer than what we'd hoped. The house was delivered to the site nearly 9 weeks ago, but there's still a lot to do! We're coming up to 7 months since construction started in their facility. We're staying in airbnbs week to week now as they can't give us a completion date, and it's getting pretty expensive. Wondering who else has gone the modular route and how their experience compares? Cost was around $600K. Definitely not a cheap option. Frankly I wouldn't recommend it.
