Looks good - not sure how you get exactly the same reading on every pile at 4.0m as there will always be a bit of variation - but on the face of it - it looks good.
Thanks Mark! I did put a tape measure through few of them and I could get to almost 12 ft before reaching the bottom so I think at least some of them are 4m.
Some more pics of sewer/drain piping and site prep we took on the weekend Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Share Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Share

Looks good. Can't wait to see slab. Looks like C = 1 and M = 0 at this stage. Ha ha
Went to see the slab in the weekend and it looks great to my untrained eye! "C" didn't even take 24 hours to send us the quote for slab stage completion and also asking for neighbour's fence to be removed for the frame stage start. Will be talking to our neighbour tomorrow and see how it will go. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Share

Why do they need to remove neighbour’s fence? They wouldn’t be too happy

Looking good! We had to remove the fence first before site was handed over to M. Lucky my neighbour was a nice guy about it. We reinstated his fence so that his backyard was secure as he had a dog.

Thanks! Macher, yeah that would be the best way, not suddenly asking to remove the fence like C is doing. Anyway neighbour not happy at all. He is ok to let us remove the fence along the garage area but he want me to put the fence back as it is when build is over and that is not going to be possible because wall will be on or very close to the boundary. he doesn't want to see my garage wall when it is completed. problems!

C was able to lay down the slab without removing the fence means there might be a chance they have allowed enough space for brickwork and fence. M charged for over hand laying if fence was not removed or no authorisation was given by the neighbours to work on the neighbour's property. If this was not an option for you maybe you can push back to C and get the wall built without removing the fence but you will have one ugly wall on the neighbour's side view. Or... Just remove the fence and the neighbours might change their mind when they see such a nice wall built.

C was pretty inflexible, irresponsible regarding this whole situation and should have requested removing the fence before they pour the slab. Finally after much negotiation neighbour agreed to remove the fence and let the builder work on his side as well. The whole house is made with hebel panels so it will be impossible for them to build that wall without removing the fence. Finally I am relieved that neighbour finally agreed!!
