I want a zero maintenance beach house [ or as close to it as i can get]. Can anyone suggest the best low maintenance options for a new home subject to the occasional salt spray from beaches For example....... Roof = Colorbond? Walls-Brick Internal Floors =polished concrete [ but maybe bamboo for less industrial areas?] Internal Paint = ??? i dont know , maybe semigloss something>? Fittings = Stainless steel Windows = Sliding alluminum Driveway = pebel exposed cement Kitchen bench =Stainless steel Pergola roofing = Colourbond [ or maybe aluminum fridge panelling?] Lights = dunn know , maybe leds? Tap washes = dunno? Tap fittings = Stainless steeel Hoses = Dunnno? Fencing = Colorbond [ would you use stainless steel bolts?] Door hinges = Stainless steel Roof guttering = dunno , plastic one maybe??? Mailbox = Stainless steel Doors = two pack oven backed paint BBQ=stainless steel Can any one give me some better iddeas , or some things to watch out for as far as corrosion etc. Maube some really good draft prevention / Door and windows seals etc?
