We'll also go have a look at the Sheridan 37. When you do, make sure to go through the Fairmont 40 which is 2 houses over =P~ It has probably my favourite upstairs of the the homes i've been through, and the downstairs living area is massive! Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 107Apr 24, 2019 1:30 pm TiredHalo  You are steaming ahead. I feel sad for my build that is languishing. All that pretty plaster inside you have. Happy you're getting progress. Bricks are looking good. It's all ups and downs hey! When I heard my brickie was having a week off I was like... "Why does it have to be when he's working on my place??" But other stuff still goes on I guess. We've since had cornices fitted and I'm pretty sure waterproofing has now been done. It seems like we're running opposite - my interior is going faster while your exterior is going faster Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 108Apr 24, 2019 1:35 pm MrsAJ KingTaco theRealDeal Nice idea..hadn't thought about that...we'll look into that. So I took that photo - it's of the kitchen/dining/living in the Clarendon Fairmont 40 on display at Rochedale. There are pictures online though, and yep there is a 3d walkthrough of the house on the Clarendon website. Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 109Apr 30, 2019 8:40 pm Scaffold is up to finish the upstairs. This week: Bricks should be complete; cladding hopefully complete Waterproofing applied. Stair case built. Cabinets will probably be next week They've been locking the doors now, even though we're not officially at "lock up", so the inside of the garage and peering through the film protected windows is about the best we can do from here on! They've also done the site scrape next door - it's a Coral home, so will be interesting to see what goes up! Next up is waterproofing and cabinetry Next door has also started and has the slab down, so will be interesting to see what gets built there! The handrails and baserails (and stringers too if they're not covered in plaster) will be varnished, while the balusters will be black powder coated rectangular bars (one of which you can see on the right of the stairs on the half newel). The result of this was that we had to re-attend the Lifestyle Studio to adjust our selections. We met yesterday with our CSC and the manager of the Lifestyle Studio. It didn't take long to narrow down a few colours, and we ended up selecting a colour quite similar to the stone bench tops used in the kitchen and WIP, so there's that added flow through the whole area now. The picture doesn't show it, but the new selection is quite subtle and really closely matches the stone So you can see below the splash back white tile, the floor timber look tile, the wood colour broom cupboard cabinet (which was our original laundry bench top selection) then the white tiles top to bottom - stone bench top, new laundry bench top, and floor cabinets. Anyway, hopefully this week or next we'll get to see the cabinetry and how it goes together Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 113May 10, 2019 8:07 am We went for the blossom white cabinet doors to That floor tile is nice. It looks similar to size we chose. Are clarendon letting you use that in the wet areas? - do you mind me asking what clarendon roughly charged to lay it, if you know? I've been waiting for my tiling quote for almost two weeks now and the sales team advised that clarendon hasn't even given us approval to use the tile in the wet areas yet. Frustrating. It's for all our downstairs including laundry and powder room 1. The upstairs wet areas have a charcoal tile instead. We had our flooring included in a promotion, but to upgrade out the Silver range to those timber look tiles was about $500 plus labour, so not too bad. I wonder what the delay is? Beaumont Tiles were super quick getting the quote back - like a day or two... And then only a couple of weeks after colour selection we had to approve a variation to pay a tiny bit extra to increase the shower tiling to the ceiling due to the shower head we'd chosen. But with all that admin side of things, Clarendon and Beaumont were really good Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 115May 10, 2019 1:44 pm Thanks for the reply KT, I'll keep on them Follow Our Clarendon - Double Gable, Hamptons Inspired Fairmont 35 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=94604 Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 116May 10, 2019 7:39 pm We got our quote the same day as the appointment with Beaumonts? Maybe they didn't need to check anything like they did for you both? Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - enclosed stage 117May 11, 2019 3:31 pm TiredHalo We got our quote the same day as the appointment with Beaumonts? Maybe they didn't need to check anything like they did for you both? Yeah they needed to clarify a couple of things with ours, as well as had some data entry issues with our tile. So it took from Saturday to Tuesday to get the quote back, which is pretty good anyway. Re: Madison 35 by Clarendon Homes - Fixing stage 118May 11, 2019 4:07 pm Update for this week: We spent the morning at the block - there were 3.5 pallets of bricks surplus at the end... Seeing a purpose for them, we transported a couple of car loads away to be stored elsewhere. Even with that chunk of work, there are still 2 full pallets left. They may still be there when the scaffold is taken down, so could be an opportunity to store some at the back of the block. The render has been completed. Cladding has been delivered, ready for installation. That plus eaves and external paintwork will start this coming week The waterproofing has been completed. While we were there, workers were installing the architraves, skirting and internal doors. All the cabinetry has been delivered and will be installed this coming week. Bricks were cleaned and exterior surfaces painted. Not sure when downstairs exterior will be finished, but really loving how the upstairs looks now. Looking forward to seeing when the render is painted, how that goes in with the bricks. Interior - front door has been fitted and we're now properly at lock up. Stairs are mostly complete - posts have been trimmed and balusters fitted. Plaster is done and under stair cupboard finished. Cavity sliding doors have been hung. And the cabinetry has been finished - really loving the colours, particularly how the kitchen has come up. So the coming week should see the scaffold removed and wet area tiling start. Oh and next door is flying along, they already have a roof and walls are wrapped. Are your overheads opened by a overhang or are they push-close mechanisms? It is Genneral stairs, but they won't deal with anyone off the street.
