Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 04, 2019 7:54 pm Burbank homes review below What an absolute disgrace this company is! We put our initial deposit down in 25/09/2016 and we still arent in our house. The list is endless with the amount of rubbish that we have had to deal with. From the moment they locked us into a contract we have had nothing but drama. Our house has now been in construction for 14 months and looks like its no where near being done! In 14 months we are now onto our 4th site supervior. On monday I put in a formal complaint about our site supervisor who made an appointment to meet at our house and simply didnt bother to show or apologise for not turning up! Today, i went to the property to see if they had actually done anything and noticed the shelf in the butlers pantry is so low to the bench that its impossible to put anything underneath it, the shelf is so low that you have to bend down to see the powerpoint underneath. Bulters pantrys are usually for toasters and kettles which i now cant even put on the bench thanks to the height of the shelf! When the supervisors manager called me to follow up after the complaint i raised, i advised him of the shelf... his response- its on the plan!!! I advised him that this totally defeated the purpose of the butlers pantry! He continued to say its not his problem as we signed for it in our contract. He then brought up my job and said if he asked for a lower rate on his home loan would i do it, i do this everyday for my customers and i also read them the fine the print when they sign a contract!!! This was never done with us, if it was i would've had the shelves moved up, nobody wants to deal with issues during construction and to be honest Ive had enough issues with them- I dont need anymore. Needless to say the conversation got heated, i told him this was BS and if we hadnt been locked into a contract i would've pulled the 'f*%@#&!' plug a long time ago- im extremely frustrated that he doesnt understand that its common sense that the shelf should be high enough to put things underneath... (then again common sense isnt burbanks strong point as theyve put windows in a void that need to be opened and when we questioned it, we were told they wont be giving us anything to open them with) He then proceeded to raise his voice and tell me that i needed to get off the property- i wouldnt be on the property if your site supervisor met me as he said he would, i also wouldnt be on the property if you fixed the window at the front of the house that has been smashed for months... this is also the reason i refuse to pay lock up!! I work in an industry where i deal with peoples finances and get spoken to horribly on a regular basis and would never speak to my customers like this, I would fix their issue! What a joke that your management are allowed to speak to customers like that and that simply lifting shelves is too much trouble! Empower your staff to make things right and create a better experience for your customers who are supposed to be going through an exciting time in their lives! Absolutely heartbroken through this whole experience of building our forever home. Burbank, some of your staff are a disgrace and your customer service skills are non-existent!
