We were told to log all issues in the portal Uh. No You couldn't possibly damage the underlay, only the carpet itself by living on it... So if the underlay is damaged, it's a **** carpet layer [/quote]The Carpet guy thinks it was caused by them resting the shower screen on it. Once at the top of the stairs and again in the master bedroom. Both shower screens were replaced before handover. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1353Apr 04, 2019 4:35 pm So it sounds like the carpet guy is on your side, where's the issue? Argh!!! Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1355Apr 04, 2019 5:54 pm blackcat20 yoyohv Hi, may I please ask you why you didn't install a concrete apron (footpath) around the house? We don't want to do it as well, to save money but apparently Boutique Homes recommends it for protecting the slab of the house. Hi Blackcat, the slab for your hot water system is it part of your house slab Or they just put a few concrete block separately. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1358May 03, 2019 5:49 pm M are really doing my head in. They've randomly disqualified defects for no reason other than we didn't tell them before handover. Instead we logged them in the portal like they told us to and they haven't told us which items they've struck off until I've chased up things. Two large cuts in my carpet, a damaged door handle and visibly patchy paint are apparently acceptable. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1359May 05, 2019 9:28 pm I cracked the **** over the entire paint job, our P38 joint on the stairs, cracked tiles, scratched windows, a kitchen bench top that won't remain joined - now up to repair number 8 being done tomorrow, and to top it off, a damaged window frame upstairs that they said the window has to come out to repair, which means scaffolding, EPS being re-rendered, etc. We asked for compensation over the window as we don't trust them to replace the window without stuffing the side of the house, or our new driveway with the scaffolding. And were told we should have bought it up at construction. We did, but were told to bring it up after handover.... We've had tile repairs done that are unsatisfactory, and trades that simply haven't shown up to six things... Overall we're still happy with the house though... Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar. Retaining wall regulations… 5 7866 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35332 Ideally you would engage a landscaper to give you some insight what they may need in the space to make your vision come to life… 1 13645 |
