Anyone building at Caddens Hill??

Our land in Caddens Hill also got registered at the same time. We are in Stage 2 (Lot 201). Which is your Lot number? Lets see if we are neighbours

We are going with Eden Brae and our application has be lodged this week. The administrative process with the builder is not smooth. Make sure you read all the documents and have all in writing if the builder/sales person committed something to you. Ask questions if don't understand anything. Don't bother if you are asking too many.

I have chosen Burbank Homes, waiting for the fixed price contract now.

We're building in Caddens Hill as well, part of Stage 5. We are currently deciding between several builders. The ones I would recommend are Wisdom, Better Built Homes and Hall and Hart. I've also posted on the Caddens community Facebook page and a few people there recommended building with Clarendon also.

In any case it will likely take several months before the builder is on site if you start searching now, also taking into account the Christmas break. I would suggest taking your time over the next few weeks to request tenders.

Also, don't be afraid to pay the tender deposit with 2-4 builders.At the end of the day they will all provide a discount to cover any monies paid to other builders so you won't lose out. That will of course be on top of any promotions they have. Much better approach than to request one tender and wait several weeks only to find out it's not suitable or you don't end up liking the builder.

Also if it helps I've found:-

• Wisdom generally have the best floor plans, and very good inclusions (Even at Luxury level)
• Metricon have a great internal process - they will have floor plans drawn up and plenty of visual paperwork to show you how your house looks - even before tender presentation. On top of that they are very fast
• Better Built Homes have a good reputation and I believe their houses will be of a high standard. They are also quite flexible with their floor plans. That being said, their overall costs might be a bit more than other builders but you definitely get what you pay for with them
• Hall & Hart are quite new, but they are very flexible and forward. Owned by two of the Rawson son's seems like they are trying to make their own mark. Limited build numbers per SS and they also have very good feedback from some of the people building with them on this forum

Yeah their internal process is the slowest of all builders so far. Very frustrating, and if it weren't for the fact they have the most desirable floor plan to us we'd have dropped them purely on that.

Hi all! Loved reading your experiences building in Caddens Hill so far! We're just about to buy land in the Stellar release! Yay! (Sidenote: if anyone is interested Caddens Hill has a refer a friend promo at the moment where we would both get $500 Visa giftcard, so if anyone wants to 'refer' Caddens Hill to me, let me know! ) .

The land doesn't register until 3rd quarter of 2020, so we have quite a journey ahead of us yet! Did you guys find that your land registered on time, or were there set backs? Also does anyone have experiences building with Rawson?

Great to hear you're building in Caddens. We were stage 5 and the registration was pushed back roughly one month. I also have a friend building around the corner in the next stage and they have already been pushed back two months. I'd imagine the developer is a little behind, and seeing as your registration date isn't until next year it's also possible they will be caught up by then.

As for your question about Rawson - reviews for them are generally a mixed bag due to their volume. That being said, another friend of mine has bought a house and land package with them in Marsden Park and I haven't heard anything negative from them. Also, there are around 10-12 houses being built by Rawson near Werrington that I drive past most days. They're all 2 storeys and probably around 26 squares. They have seemed to have gone up quite quickly. As for the quality I can't comment sorry
