Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Crooked walls, bulk head, edgings... 3Mar 03, 2019 5:43 pm pencilhead This happened to a friend. Plaster around bulkhead was not level - obvious slant. He told site supervisor. Place got painted etc, then they came back and repaired. Had to rip down plaster, redo and repaint. I suggest you get it in writing that they will repair and a date when it will be completed and just keep track of everything to ensure it gets done. It would make sense to fix issues as they appear rather than have to redo. But trades get paid to do the job. I guess if they have to come back, they get paid again. You should be able to hold off final payment until all the issues are fixed. Also make sure any allowances are done or get money back. My friend paid allowance for floor leveling if needed. Wasn't needed, but amount still in final bill. He asked for refund. Thank you!
