Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Interim occupational certificate 3Feb 25, 2019 8:22 am The lack of steps won't stop your interim certificate. We moved in & then did the landscaping ourselves, I needed a LOT of dirt moved to build-up the ground to the desired height outside the study doorway & there's no way I could've done that before we moved in & not remembered having done it. Oh, same with the driveway, we did that fairly quickly but definitely after we moved in. Yay! I need some advice now about what the process is around interim occupational certificate. We have put in a pool shell prior to the build (no permanent fence). And have the following post handover items outstanding; - permanent pool fence - steps down from French doors and laundry (planned deck) - drive way - hotwater system installed Does anyone know if these items will stop the interim certificate from being granted. We are in nsw if that matters Temporary pool fence Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Step down (80cm) from the French doors Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm approaching the same situation you had back in Feb! It’s full of water but not the type you want to swim in. We’ve moved in and we are currently getting quotes for some hard landscaping that needs to be done before the pool progresses. As far at the interim occupational certificate goes we needed to put steps in before we moved in as the height of the doors was 60cm of the ground, the hot water was already in. The pool fence is still temporary and our driveway is currently made of mud Re: Interim occupational certificate 7Jul 29, 2019 10:54 am I believe in this case, you will have to get your OC (Occupational Certificate) later once all the pending items are been fixed. However, there is a cost associated with obtaining the final OC and it's about $450 (at July 2019) that need to be paid by the owner, no by the Builder. Cheers Please read what the conditions are when receive final payment invoice. 2 6634 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day. Cheers 2 9014 Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6155 |
