I'm currently building at Bardia (Lot 5018- corner lot next to school) through a private builder and now reached frame stage. In relation to corner lots, is there specific requirements in relation to fencing (e.g. height and materials-colorbond vs timber etc). Your suggestions are much appreciated. Hi, You will have to review 2 documents and comply with them. 1. NewBreeze regulation which are outlined in your contract. 2. Edmondson Park South DCP. I’m told that you can’t have colourbond but I see plenty of it around. I plan on using ModularWalls or SlimWalls which have better acoustic properties than colourbond. Hi GLO, Did you get any quote or slim or modular wall and have any idea how much does it cost per metre of installation? I haven’t received an official quote but their marketing indicates that the ‘supply only cost’ is comparative to an ‘installed colourbond fence of the same size’ For me this is the more robust solution as footballs and tennis balls will still dent a colourbond fence. Plus there is sound reduction qualities that will keep street noise out. Ir your noisy kids in! Re: Building at Bardia - New Breeze 1051Mar 17, 2019 9:19 am Hey has anyone gone with DA. I’d like to know how long council DA approval took once submitted. I found out that I cannot use a private certifier and must go through DA. I hope Campbeltown council is not too slow. Re: Building at Bardia - New Breeze 1054Mar 17, 2019 7:26 pm dolphin33 Yep, same with mine. 6 weeks. Weeks or months? If 6 months, I’m glad I went CDC, with some minor compromises such as: i. Increase balcony size from 20m2 (unsure if DA would have approved this anyway) as compliance to DCP and Developer guideline still need to be adhered to. ii. Garage width (would have liked to add 1/2 to 1 garage for storage) but this would have cost ~$13,500 and need approval. iii. Had to add some voids to keep within the max floor space. My land was also registered in Nov 2017 so it was ready to go. We are at Bricking stage now and coping the rain these past few days. But I aim to be in around September. Re: Building at Bardia - New Breeze 1056Mar 18, 2019 11:02 am My DA approval took 10 to 11 weeks. now waiting for construction certificate Re: Building at Bardia - New Breeze 1057Mar 24, 2019 3:19 pm Gio_aus Hi guys, I just received word from my solicitor that my lot at Parkside Stage 3 will be registered on 30th May.
