I have a photo of the steel taken while they were still putting up formwork. The rods on the inside edge of the timber are the ones still exposed. I'm not sure, are these tie rods? Or are they just there to support the formwork? He confirmed that the steel is non structural and that it was just there to hold up the formwork. Based on our photos he concluded that all the slab thickenings and steel were as per engineers drawings as well.
