My SS tells me that's how it is and the door lock does not come with knob, but I remember seeing it in some photos here. Obviously this will depend on the site supervisor's availability, but in general how often is this likely to be? Our new build is on the same street we live in so I will want to inspect the property as frequently as possible. I have to drive past mine 4 times a day on a weekday so I see mine daily but usually don’t go in unless there is something I want to see. My SS however is a superstar and gives me a pretty detailed update so I usually know in advance what should be happening most days. I had a look at the contract and it doesn't appear to mandate this, but you have to sign a waiver saying you do so at your own risk. My demolition is under way and will be complete this week, so hopefully not too much longer before construction starts. I only go in when I see a Wisdom Ute or if I have a landscape appointment etc. as I have just finished frames you can just see what’s going on from the fence. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 14055Feb 04, 2019 2:50 pm Hi All, We are very close to PCI since December 15th, 2018. My SS has been very good in giving updates every weekend. But since after the holidays when only a couple of things look to be remaining, i see weeks of no activity, Since18 Jan 2019, i see my house dragging with no big change. Our understanding is only below items are remaining and they are still not done: -Splash-back - Finishings touches - House Cleaning I am not a builder and might not know great deal, but all this is making me unsettled. As first time builders we did not see during contract signing what was the number of days Wisdom needs to inform us about PCI. It seems its only 6 days. so they said they have to only inform us 6 days before PCI. We also did not see how much fine they would pay for every day of delay (which i think was left at default which is $15). Also I have one more concern, We had 2 linear air con vents in living area. While all the rest of vents are done, this is not. And I am worried why not. Did any one had this kind of experience. Also My SS who was giving me exact updates seems to be giving me very tentative words like near PCI and no exact dates. It seems we are just put on hold while Wisdom is finishing other projects or working on new ones. This is making my Wisdom experience really very bad. ^^^ . wisdomHomes BuildingWashington 32 with W https://buildyourfirsthome.wordpress.com/ Contract: 26/11/2017 DA: 28/03/2018 Admin : 26/04/2018 Const: 11/05/2018 Slab: 16/05/2018 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 14056Feb 04, 2019 5:04 pm Hi kvav27 I totally understand what you are going through. I am still waiting for the PCI defects Inspection 8 months after handover and it's still not done. I totally disappointed with this builder and wouldn't recommend Wisdom Homes to anyone. There are too many defects because they are only interested in collecting money from their customers and that's it. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 14059Feb 04, 2019 5:41 pm Our journey hasn’t been a fun one thus far. We have had just had a kitchen install and our stone is next apparently. I love it how they send you an invoice at plaster board completion and it’s not even complete. We still have all our staircase area to be completed including plaster board to under the staircase which went in before Christmas. So many holes in the walls which have been caused by other trades not taking care. Some of them are quite large. We have broken tiles on our roof, and it’s not even completed to comply with BAL29 which we paid extra for. The broken tile concerns me as I am worry if it rains we could get a leak. Some of our windows sit lower than our 90mm skirtings. Had we been aware we would have used shorter skirtings. Our garage doors is not flush which again does not comply with our BAL rating. The list goes on and in. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 14060Feb 04, 2019 7:34 pm aaron2008 wow singalg - let me get a picture of our door for you tomorrow I can confirm that Knob to turn is only inside & the outside the key is turned and pushed in. do you have a knob inside ? Is that a hole, I am concerned if that is a hole there! Thanks aaron2008, this is the photo of door from inside and yes it's a hole. I think it should have a knob to turn to lock the door from inside, but SS says thats how it is supposed to be!
