Greetings all,
I've received the energy report for our development. Under the glazing section, it advises double glazed alum thermally broken frames. I am fine with double glazed windows, but hesitant on whether thermally broken alum frames is necessary, mainly due to additional cost. Our development has a tonne of windows. I would like to consider the overall WERS rating, when making a comparable choice with specs such as SHGC etc, rather than simply saying a thermally broken frame can outperform a non thermally broken frame, vice versa.
What are you thoughts?
Regards.
