I thought choosing a kitchen would be far harder but flooring is becoming my headache ... Is this for a new house? What is your sub floor? Michelle, it is for an existing house that we have been in for a few years now. We currently have carpet and tiles and we are willing to pull up everything to get to the concrete base. Since my post we are looking at the Aspire range (Preference Floors) for hybrid or the Van Gough range with Karndean if we were to go down the vinyl plank route. Just not sure which way to go as we are getting a lot of conflicting information. Both the floors you have been looking at are good flooring. The difference is, Hybrids still needs Scotia around the perimeter of a room for slight expansion. Karndean Van Gough is a direct stick and will go right up next your skirting, no Scotia needed. The Hybrid are really good for laying over existing tiles. Personally, I'd go the direct glue Karndean. I hope this has helped.

Hi Michelle, does it really need scotia? can’t the hybrid flooring be fitted under a skirting board? We are building a new house and the skirtings will be tacked on until the floor is installed, and the skirtings fixed after. I am not a fan of Scotia at all. It’s not a look I am going for,
No it will not need Scotia if you are fitting skirts after install.
