The irony is the energy rater & Building Surveyor aren't qualified to endorse Alternate solutions You'll probably need an Environmental Engineer and air flow Calculations/Simulations.(Ouch more cost?} OT. lol,.It goes to show how ridiculous the certification process is becoming for non compliance and it's only going to get worse with the likes of Opal tower (Structural) & La Crosse (Fire) disasters (Ventilation, Insulation,) Water Damage, Dangerous Mould , Why we Need a building Defects Inquiry Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Should draftsman pay for amendment? 6Jan 27, 2019 1:37 pm The way I see it, I paid good money for the plans to be drawn up and the be compliant for a building permit. If the archi can’t design a house to be compliant then welll what’s the point. If he did it right in the first place we wouldn’t have to. The BS just wants an email from council saying it’s an acceptable change. The council want a secondary amendment so it’s on record Re: Should draftsman pay for amendment? 7Jan 27, 2019 7:07 pm It's only a minor change. It would take the drafty a couple of minutes to change the drawing. I know my drafty made any minor changes for no charge. Have you asked him to make the couple of small changes to the plan and elevation. He may be quite happy to do it for you. Always paid for those changes as I wanted those. I should of paid more attention to that at the start. But yeah I feel like this is his mistake and he should fix it up and pay for any amendment fees to council. As when we submitted the endorsed plans I assumed that was done and dusted. Yep, very good point. I’ll do more research and see what figures I get. Thank you! 8 2478 Are you saying that these consultants are involved at key-points of the building, and perform site inspects at the stages, or only after building is completed to point… 4 9010 That's very helpful, thank you. I was mostly interested in knowing if a spoon drain requires a specific slope, but I appreciate the extra information. 4 3922 |
