Looks beautiful. Stuck my head upstairs to try and get a feel for the rooms. In some ways it seems much bigger but the MBR and Theatre look smaller than I expected. Looks like they are doing the external render and windows then pull down the scaffolding next. Overall very happy with the communication from our rep. The workmanship appears to be moving at pace and of good quality. I'm not qualified to say amazing however I am no stranger to construction and it appears good. Overall, really happy with BT and how they have treated us so far. Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 26Feb 07, 2019 9:58 am Here are a few more recent photos of our progress. Pretty happy with the pace and workmanship overall. I usually get around once a week to inspect and see changes they have made. I find it hard to believe it wasnt noticed after it was put up but I have notified our liason and they are following up so we will see how BT handles this issue. Only a small one in the scheme of things so thats good. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 27Mar 07, 2019 6:52 pm Started Electrical last week. Had a bunch of pests come through and rip half of it out so they had to come back and redo it. More like vandalism than pure theft. Pace seems to be going well. Suggested locking in just over a month then potentially in mid June *assuming no major delays. A few small defects to point out which they have been super quick to rectify and no push back at all. Very pleased so far. Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 28Mar 07, 2019 10:11 pm I would be making sure (and not coming from Ben Trager) that the polystyrene cladding isn't on the banned list that has just been released. I have confirmed that BT does not use any of the banned EPS boards. Yours looks like a basic foam like what most houses uses. They are actually flammable. But not on banned list yet for residential housing. Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 34Mar 08, 2019 8:42 pm The only way to stop people speculating when they see a photo/image like that is for Builder to put up the material data that is used up on their website Do you have a link to the Material/Chemical/Engineering properties? Just Curious? But isn't polystyrene itself is flammable right. Not talking about protection from outside. More like if house caught fire inside the poly will burn very fast? Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 37Mar 08, 2019 9:39 pm Here Fire polystyrene flammability Smoke fire retardants toxicity Check with a fire engineer and I would refer you to the Eurocodes which are more advanced Than Australian Standards ATM. hth Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 38Mar 09, 2019 8:57 am StructuralBIMGuy Do you have a link to the Material/Chemical/Engineering properties? Just Curious? http://www.builditeco.com.au/wp-content ... ochure.pdf Over the last 3 days, they smashed out the rest of electrical wiring, all piping and the downstairs roof. Suggested lockup at this stage is next month then two more till completion. Had my first meeting with site supervisor and he was a really good bloke and went through a fair bit with me. Re: WA - Ben Trager - Hammond Park 39Mar 09, 2019 10:11 am Thanks for the Installation and Technical Data I'm sure others considering building will research thoroughly what's provided I find it perplexing that builder's don't put up information &/or provide the bare minimum when referencing the NCC. Sorry to hear about the house damage, It doesn't sound like a random act of vandalism but more a revengeful nutter, ie, ex-employee, disgruntled tradie or homeowner, with an axe to grind. I digress, there are calls to register Fire Practitioners/Engineers and to create a SIP Building database, while codes and standards are being reviewed. In a Nutshell Not enough Qualified Expert Fire Engineers and a huge number of buildings to check.
